About me

I have a degree in Fine Art from The Ruskin School, University of Oxford. The course focused on academic drawing, contemporary studio practice, art history and theory. My dissertation on avant-gardism in northern cities was awarded A++

After graduating I spent a decade working as a professional artist alongside staff jobs at creative companies. I've exhibited in London, Barcelona and Amsterdam and I've devised, pitched and produced commissions for Amsterdam Fonds voor de Kunst, Arts Council England and RIBA, amongst others.

In the mid 2010s I took a break from my practice to concentrate on entrepreneurship, establishing a cycling brand called Bobbin. I successfully grew the business from the ground up and exited in 2021 via an equity sale to an e-commerce specialist.

I believe in the value of art education and the transferability of creative skills, in particular resourcefulness, critical thinking and the alchemical power of artists to make something extraordinary out of almost nothing.

I've been pivoting back to full-time art practice since 2022 and I'm currently studying Jungian Theory, which I see as a common thread weaving through all my work.
